Scope

This document describes the method of determining the acidity of light petroleum products using the color indicator method.
This document is applicable to light petroleum products, such as gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, jet fuel, and diesel, for which the color change of the titration end point indicator is obvious.
This document is only applicable to the determination of the acidity of diesel products using automatic instruments. The range of automatic titration of acidity (calculated in KOH) is from 1.00 mg/100 mL to 12 mg/100 mL. Samples exceeding this content range can also be measured using this document, but the accuracy has not been evaluated yet.
