Scope

This document specifies the specific elements of the maturity model. These elements comply with the provisions of ISO/IEC 33004. Organizations can use these elements in conjunction with their own evaluation indicators to determine the maturity level of the data quality management process in accordance with ISO 800061. The scope of this document includes: -- Evaluating several elements of the organizational process maturity model; -- Identifying elements in other documents (process capability levels, process attributes, advanced scales for measuring process attributes, and a scheme for deriving process capability levels from process attribute ratings); -- Detailing six maturity levels and process overviews to indicate the time required for organizations to reach each maturity level; -- Guiding organizations in conducting maturity level assessments. The scope of this document does not include methods or procedures for improving organizational maturity. Organizations themselves or other parties (including certification bodies) can use this document to evaluate maturity. This document can be used independently or in conjunction with quality management system standards.
