Scope
This standard specifies the gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry method for the determination of toxaphene in soil and sediments. This standard is applicable to the determination of three indicative toxaphene congeners P26, P50, and P62 in soil and sediments (see Appendix A). When the sampling quantity is 10.0 g and the set volume is 20 μL, the detection limits of the three indicative toxaphene methods are all 0.003 μg/kg, and the determination limits are all 0.012 μg/kg.
