GB/T 20660-2020 Petroleum and natural gas industries—Control and mitigation of fires and explosions on offshore production installations—Requirements and guidelines
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the objectives and functional requirements for fire and explosion control and mitigation measures for offshore production facilities.
This standard applies to fixed offshore structures and floating production, storage, and offloading systems in the oil and gas industry.
This standard does not apply to mobile offshore facilities and underwater devices as defined in this standard, but some principles contained in this standard can be used as guidelines.
This standard selects fire and explosion control and mitigation measures based on risk assessments of offshore facilities. The methods used in such assessments and the related recommended practices vary depending on the complexity of the production process and facilities, the type of facilities (open or closed), staffing, and environmental conditions in the operating areas.
Note: For relevant offshore facilities, it is necessary not only to meet the requirements of this standard, but also to comply with the requirements of relevant laws, regulations, and rules concerning offshore facilities.
