Scope

This document specifies the requirements for down and feathers, determination rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage, describes the corresponding test methods, provides a product classification that facilitates technical specifications, and defines relevant terms.
This document applies to the production, inspection, and sale of down and feathers. The filling materials of down and feather products shall be implemented in accordance with this document, unless otherwise specified in relevant product standards.
This document does not apply to products that mix down and feathers with other fibers.
