Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the method for conducting field efficacy trials of fungicides in preventing and controlling seed-borne diseases in cereal crops.
This document is applicable to the registration of fungicides for preventing and controlling diseases such as wheat net blotch (Tilletia caries), wheat glossy blotch (Tilletia laevis), wheat scattered blotch (Ustilago tritici), wheat stalk blotch (Urocystis tritici), wheat root rot (Bipolaris sorokiniana), wheat snow rot and leaf scorch (Gerlachia nivalis), barley scattered blotch (Ustilago nuda), barley stubby blotch (Ustilago hordei), barley net spot (Drechslera teres), and oat scattered blotch (Ustilago avenae), as well as oat stubby blotch (Ustilago levis). The field efficacy trials and efficacy evaluations of these diseases should be conducted in accordance with this document. For similar diseases in other crops, the same field efficacy testing procedures should be referenced and implemented accordingly.
