Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product specifications and markings, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of diamond cutting wires for photovoltaic applications (hereinafter referred to as resin diamond wires). This standard applies to diamond cutting wires made by bonding diamond abrasive particles to the surface of the core wire substrate with resin adhesives. The products are mainly used for cutting silicon materials, and resin diamond cutting wires for cutting other hard and brittle materials can be used for reference.
