Scope

This part of GB/T 27476 specifies the terms and definitions related to ionizing radiation factors, safety management requirements, and safety technical requirements for testing laboratories (hereinafter referred to as "laboratories").
This part is applicable to laboratories that carry out the following activities in fixed locations:
1) Use, dispose of, or store radioactive substances;
2) Use irradiation devices.
Laboratories in other locations may refer to this part for use, but additional requirements may be necessary. For other laboratories such as plant and animal quarantine, medicine, forensics, and veterinary medicine, if they refer to this part, additional safety requirements in their respective professional fields may be necessary.
