Scope

This standard specifies the power measurement and calibration of marine reciprocating internal combustion engines. At the same time, it also provides methods for verifying and checking the calibrated (rated) power announced by the manufacturer.
This standard applies to marine propulsion engines of yachts and other small boats with a hull length of not more than 24 m.
This standard needs to be used in conjunction with ISO 15550.
