GB/T 20493.1-2006 Electronic imaging—Test target for the black-and-white scanning of office documents—Part 1:Characteristics

Scope

This part of GB/T 20439 specifies the characteristics of test plates used to evaluate the consistency of the performance quality of platform-type or drum-type black-and-white reflective scanners used in electronic image management systems during their use. The test plates are used for: a) conducting routine checks on the system's performance; b) determining the system's performance limits. This part is applicable to evaluating the output quality of black-and-white scanners used for black-and-white or color office documents (whether they have halftones or colors). This part is not applicable to color scanners or scanners used for scanning transparent or semi-transparent documents. 〖HT5”〗Note: For additional test plates used to evaluate the output quality of black-and-white scanners that use continuous tones and colors, refer to GB/T 20439.2.
