Scope

This part of GB/T 27888, together with ISO 157492 to 157495, is applicable to the planning and design of wastewater discharge systems (sanitary water discharge systems) in the living areas and grain storage areas of ships and offshore structures.
The drainage of weather decks, cargo holds, and swimming pools is covered in ISO 157495.
GB/T 27888 (all parts) sets out the basic rules and minimum requirements for sanitary requirements and marine environmental protection.
This part is not applicable to oil and chemical contaminated wastewater pipeline systems that can generate combustible gas/oxygen mixtures.
