Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, pre-sowing preparation, sowing, field management, and harvesting for the cultivation of summer-sown rapeseed (forage grass and green manure) in the Yinsha irrigation area of Ningxia. This document is applicable to the Yinsha irrigation area of Ningxia. Main technical content: 3. Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. Summer-sowing rapeseed (forage grass, green manure) refers to a method of planting rapeseed after the harvest of winter and spring wheat, harvesting it during the flowering period for use as forage or plowing it into the soil as green manure. 4. Pre-sowing preparation 4.1 Variety selection Select rapeseed varieties registered by the state and suitable for cultivation in the Yinsha irrigation area of Ningxia. 4.2 Seed treatment Soak the seeds in 20°C warm water for 10 minutes before sowing, then remove and dry them. 4.3 Tillage After the harvest of winter and spring wheat, irrigate the land promptly, and then plow it to a depth of about 20 cm after the surface dries. 5. Sowing 5.1 Sowing period The sowing period is generally in the middle of July. 5.2 Sowing quantity The sowing quantity per 666.7 m2 is 1.0 kg to 1.2 kg. 5.3 Sowing method Use a wheat uniform sowing machine or a hand-operated grass seed sowing machine.
