Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of shipbuilding gantry cranes with upper and lower trolleys, a rated lifting capacity of 100 t to 2,500 t, and a span of not less than 40 m.
This standard applies to shipbuilding gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) used in shipyards' docks, slipways, and platforms for lifting and flipping ship sections.
Other types and specifications of shipbuilding gantry cranes can be used as reference.
