Scope

This standard specifies a qualitative, rapid comparative visual test method for evaluating the macroscopic dispersion of carbon black and carbon black/silica in rubber. The method assigns a rating based on a set of standard images graded from 1 to 10, and the results are expressed in numerical form. In addition, this standard also stipulates a method for describing the condition of large clumps using numerical grades (1 to 10).
