Scope

本文件规定了稳态条件下往复式内燃机（RIC）排气烟度的测量方法。该方法通过测量滤纸黑度并从FSN中推导出炭黑质量浓度（mg/m3）来评估碳烟含量。如有必要，对于特定用途的发动机还可规定单独的要求。
本文件适用于移动、运输和固定用往复式内燃机，如土方机械、发电机组及其他用途的非道路用发动机，但不包括运输乘客和货物的道路用发动机。对于有其他附加要求（如职业卫生和安全条例、电厂规程）的机械设备用发动机，补充附加的试验条件和特殊的评定方法。
