Scope
This standard specifies the content format and transmission method of basic EPG information applied to digital television broadcasting, as well as the content format of extended EPG information applied to exchange. For the extended EPG content format and transmission method applied to digital television broadcasting, since it is closely related to middleware and other digital television standards under research, no provisions are currently made in this standard.
This standard does not specify the generation and display methods of EPG. Operators and digital television receiver terminal manufacturers can freely choose the generation and display methods.
This standard is applicable to the transmission of basic EPG information from the digital television broadcasting front-end to the receiving terminal, as well as the exchange of EPG information between digital television broadcasting front-ends.
