Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the residual content of monochloroacetic acid (salt) and dichloroacetic acid (salt) in surfactants using liquid chromatography.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the residual content of monochloroacetic acid (salt) and dichloroacetic acid (salt) in surfactants produced from monochloroacetic acid or monochloroacetic sodium as raw materials, such as alcohol phenol ethers carboxylates, undecylmethylimidazoline carboxylates, fatty alkyl dimethyl betaine, and fatty amides propyl dimethyl betaine. When the content of monochloroacetic acid (salt) and dichloroacetic acid (salt) in the sample exceeds the range of the standard working curve, it is necessary to increase the concentration of the standard solution or dilute or reduce the amount of the sample for determination.
