Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the insulation of anodized films on aluminum and aluminum alloys using the breakdown potential method. This standard is applicable to anodized films designed for insulation purposes and to process specifications established based on the principle of breakdown potential. Note 1: This standard is generally only applicable to anodized films after pore sealing and drying, and is not suitable for painted or other coated layers. Note 2: This method cannot provide satisfactory results for unsealed anodized films. Note 3: The breakdown potential is affected by relative humidity.
