Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for steering gear assemblies of three-wheeled vehicles. This document is applicable to the design and manufacture of steering gear assemblies (excluding power steering) used in three-wheeled vehicles, including recirculating ball steering gears, rack-and-pinion steering gears, and worm-and-roller steering gears, as well as the inspection and testing of their product quality.
