Scope

This guidance technical document specifies the terms and definitions, boundary conditions, test environment conditions, test preparation, and the test report for the operating adaptability test of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) membrane electrodes (MEAs) under typical automotive operating conditions.
This guidance technical document is applicable to membrane electrodes that meet the performance requirements set by the tested party. The test is conducted using a single cell with an active area of 5 cm×5 cm to evaluate the adaptability of the membrane electrodes (MEAs) to typical fuel cell operating conditions, but it does not consider the corresponding relationship between accelerated test life and actual life.
