Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for control and protection equipment (hereinafter referred to as control and protection equipment) for ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (DC) transmission systems.
This standard applies to control and protection equipment for DC transmission systems with one pole per station and a two-12-pulse converter series structure at ±800 kV. Control and protection equipment for DC transmission systems with other voltage levels and different main circuit structures may be implemented with reference to this standard.
