GB/T 30553-2023 High-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission using voltage sourced converters(VSC)
Basic Information
Scope
This document provides general guidelines for voltage source converters (VSCs) used in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission. The converters described in this document not only include voltage source types (which involve capacitive energy storage media that maintain the polarity of DC voltage), but also include self-commutated types that use semiconductor devices that can be turned on and off according to control signals. This document is applicable to two-level and three-level converters using pulse width modulation (PWM), as well as multi-level converters, modular multi-level converters, and cascaded two-level converters. It does not include two-level and three-level converters that output square waves without using PWM. HVDC transmission based on voltage source converters is referred to as "VSC DC transmission".
