Main tree shape modification: 2.1 Round-top shape: 2.1.1 First-year shaping: When the plant reaches a height of 60cm-70cm, cut the top and leave three main branches. The angle between the main branches and the trunk should be 40°-50°, and the angle between the main branches and each other should be around 120°. Shorten the first-level main branches at 40cm-50cm, leaving two parallel branches each, and cultivate them into secondary branches. Shorten the secondary branches at 30cm-40cm, leaving 2-3 parallel branches each, and cultivate them into tertiary branches, with a distance of 20cm-30cm between layers. 2.1.2 Second-year shaping: Shorten the tertiary branches at 20cm-30cm, leaving 2-3 parallel branches each, and prune them after each shoot growth. 2.1.3 Third-year shaping: Cultivate parallel branches according to the previous year's method. After three years of planting, the mango tree should have a height of no more than 2.5m, a crown area of 2-3m2, and no more than 60-80 terminal branches, forming a round-top crown. 2.1.4 Fourth-year shaping: Continue to cultivate multi-level branches.
