Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for internal calibration personnel, methods, facilities, environment and equipment, calibration management, and calibration capability assessment and verification in testing laboratories. This standard applies to internal calibration of measurement instruments related to the accredited capabilities of testing laboratories that have applied for or obtained accreditation, and also applies to the review activities conducted by accreditation bodies on testing laboratories that implement internal calibration. This standard does not apply to testing laboratories that have obtained CNAS laboratory accreditation or authorization from provincial statutory metrology verification institutions.
