Scope

This part of GB/T 39560 specifies the procedure for screening and analyzing five substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, total chromium, and total bromine) in homogeneous materials of electronic and electrical products by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry.
This part is applicable to polymers, metals, and ceramic materials. It is also applicable to raw materials, single materials extracted from products, and homogenized mixed materials composed of more than one material. Any XRF spectrometer that meets the performance requirements specified in this part can be used for sample screening, but not all types of XRF spectrometers are suitable for screening and analyzing samples of all sizes and shapes. Therefore, XRF spectrometers used for specific screening and analysis should be chosen carefully.
