Scope

This standard specifies the method of detecting the fastening thread parameters using thread gauge. The fastening thread parameters include: effective pitch diameter, base pitch diameter of the basic tooth profile, design pitch diameter of the tooth profile, pitch diameter, single pitch diameter, radial pitch diameter difference, axial pitch diameter difference, pitch (lead), tooth flank angle, comprehensive tooth profile deviation, and top diameter relative to pitch diameter jump. This standard is applicable to the detection of fastening thread parameters (the minimum nominal diameter of internal and external threads is 4.8 mm and 1 mm, respectively).
