Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, grades and markings, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, storage, and transportation of citric acid gypsum. This document is applicable to citric acid gypsum produced as a by-product during the process of making citric acid from biomass using microbial fermentation technology and calcium salt precipitation. Organic acid gypsums such as lactic acid gypsum and malic acid gypsum can refer to this document.
