本文件规定了ISO 668界定的系列1集装箱——1AAA、1AA、1A、1AX、1BBB、1BB、1B、1BX、1CC、1C和1CX型适用于公路、铁路、水路运输，以及这些运输方式之间的联运的平台和台架式集装箱的分类、标记、尺寸和额定质量、设计要求以及试验方法。在某种情况下，集装箱不能堆码作业，或不能以专用框架式吊具从顶部起吊作业。
