Scope
This standard specifies the dedicated safety rules for storage equipment used for bulk materials, such as hoppers, silos, bins, and gates, and is a supplement to the general safety guidelines stipulated in ISO 1819.
The safety rules specified in this standard apply regardless of the original purpose of the equipment.
These safety rules define the supplier's responsibilities for the continuous handling machinery itself, excluding the structure of the ancillary components, unless these structures are built into the storage equipment.
