This standard specifies the requirements for gold targets, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and the content of purchase orders (or contracts).
This standard applies to all types of gold sputtering targets used in the manufacture of semiconductor electronic devices (hereinafter referred to as "gold targets").
