Scope
GB/T 4798 covers the extreme (short-term) environmental conditions that products may encounter during transportation, installation, storage, and use. Separate parameter grades are provided for products under different usage conditions (such as fixed use with climate protection, installation on ground vehicles, and transportation). These grades also take into account the degree of product usage restrictions, ranging from the most stringent restrictions (such as in temperature-controlled rooms) to unrestricted conditions. The grading covers both natural conditions and artificial environmental conditions.
