Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the inherent biodegradability test of chemicals in soil, the information of the test substances, the test principles, the reference substances, an overview of the test methods, the test operations, quality assurance and quality control, and data and reports. This standard is applicable to the determination of the mineralization rate of chemicals labeled with 14C isotopes under the action of soil microorganisms. This standard is applicable to volatile or non-volatile, water-soluble or non-water-soluble chemicals (including radioactive markers or non-markers) that do not significantly inhibit microbial activity in soil.
