GB/T 10580-2015 Standard conditions for use prior to and during the testing of solid electrical insulating materials

Scope

This standard specifies the acceptable conditions for the exposure time, temperature, atmospheric humidity, and immersion solution of solid insulating materials during testing. The scope is broad enough to ensure that we can select suitable conditions to achieve either of the objectives in a) or b). To obtain more ideal reproducibility of test results: a) partially eliminate the impact of environmental conditions experienced by the samples before testing on the performance of the samples (commonly known as "normalization treatment", referred to as pre-treatment in this standard); b) ensure consistent conditions during testing. This standard is not applicable to determining the effects of certain temperatures, humidity, or immersion solutions on materials. GB/T 2421.1-2008 provides procedures for materials related to environmental effects.
