Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, usage instructions, transportation, and storage of solvent-based adhesives used in hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) plastic piping systems. This standard applies to solvent-based adhesives used in hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) plastic piping systems, which are mainly made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, with the addition of appropriate solvents and necessary additives, and then mixed together (hereinafter referred to as "adhesives").
