Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of steel compression tube joints (hereinafter referred to as joints) for building curtain walls.
This standard applies to steel compression tube joints for various types of steel strands and round strand steel wire ropes with a nominal diameter of 6 mm to 36 mm, and a tensile strength of the steel wire not exceeding 1,700 MPa.
This standard does not apply to semi-sealed and sealed steel wire rope compression tube joints.
