Scope
This document describes in detail the measurement method of the optical-electrical conversion functions (OECFs) of digital cameras that output digitally encoded image files. OECFs are defined as the relationship between the logarithmic brightness of the focal plane and the exposure or the scene, and the digital output signal value of a digital imaging system. This document is applicable to the measurement of the optical-electrical conversion functions of both black-and-white and color digital cameras.
