Scope
This standard is used to guide standard writers on how to consider the factors of electrical products' impact on the environment when formulating electrical product standards. Its purpose is as follows: a) To enhance the awareness of the positive and negative environmental impacts of certain provisions (regulations) in product standards; b) To briefly explain the relationship between product standards and the environment; c) To help avoid certain provisions in product standards that may have harmful effects on the environment; d) To emphasize that introducing environmental factors into the process of product standard formulation is a complex process that requires weighing various factors; e) When introducing environmental factors into product standards, it is recommended to adopt the life cycle principle. This standard is coordinated with ISO Guide 64 as much as possible.
