Scope

This standard specifies the recommended methods for analyzing, suppressing, and measuring harmonics on the DC side of HVDC converter stations in LCC DC transmission systems, including related guidelines. It also prescribes recommended measurement methods for the performance of DC filters and recommended calculation methods for the noise level induced by harmonic current in DC transmission lines on communication lines. This standard applies to electromagnetic noise generated by converter stations in DC transmission systems with a harmonic frequency below 5 kHz.
