Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods for the acoustic output power of medical ultrasound diagnostic equipment. Among these methods, the radiation force balance method is the preferred one. However, the hydrophone method can also be used as long as the measurement accuracy can be guaranteed. This standard applies to the measurement of the acoustic output power of medical ultrasound diagnostic equipment in the frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 15 MHz.
