Scope

These rules apply to the installation, modification, major repair supervision and inspection, and regular inspection of escalators and automatic walkways. The units that produce the escalators and automatic walkways mentioned in the preceding paragraph (including the design, manufacture, installation, modification, repair, and daily maintenance of escalators and automatic walkways, and the same applies to their use), as well as the special equipment inspection and testing institutions that engage in the supervision and inspection and regular inspection of escalators and automatic walkways, shall comply with the provisions of these rules.
