Scope

This section specifies the procedures and conditions to be followed for validation. Validation involves analyzing and testing the safety functions provided by the safety components of the control system in accordance with GB/T 16855.1, as well as the safety category achieved, using the design principles provided by the designer. This section does not provide complete validation requirements for programmable electronic systems, so other standards must also be used. Note: For more detailed provisions on the validation of programmable electronic systems, see IEC 62061.
