GB/T 20846-2007 Shipbuilding—Ventilation and air-treatment of galleys and pantries with cooking appliances
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the design requirements and general considerations for ventilation and air treatment in kitchens and dining rooms with cooking equipment on civilian ocean-going vessels (when the shipowner has requirements for such ventilation and air treatment). This standard applies to normal environmental conditions in all sea areas except for extremely cold or extremely hot climates (i.e., exceeding the minimum or maximum temperatures specified in Chapter 2). This standard applies to kitchens and dining rooms with cooking equipment that consume more electricity than just small amounts of electricity, such as coffee pots, electric heating plates for keeping food warm, and electric kettles. Note: In addition to complying with the various requirements of this standard, it is recommended that all relevant vessels also meet the statutory requirements, norms, and rules that may need to be followed.
