Scope
1.1 This part of GB/T 39827 specifies the naming system and classification basis for recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. 1.2 PET bottle recyclates are distinguished by the following ranges (values) of their recyclate characteristics: a) Specific viscosity (IV); b) Contaminant levels caused by labels and other visible impurities, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polyolefins (including adhesives); c) Water content; d) Bulk density. Additional information such as the intended use and processing methods will also assist in the classification process.
