1.1 GB/T 39827的本部分规定了用过的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯（PET）瓶回收物的命名系统和分类基础。1.2 PET瓶回收物通过下列回收物特性的范围（大小）来区分：a） 特性黏度(Ⅳ）；b） 由于标签和其他可见的污染物、聚氯乙烯（PVC）及聚烯烃（包括胶黏剂）等所致的污染物水平；c） 含水量；d） 体积密度。预期使用情况、加工方法等信息也将有助于分类。
