Scope
This standard applies to the determination of the thermal conductivity of isotropic and homogeneous non-metallic solid materials with a thermal conductivity less than 2 W/(m·K). This standard does not apply to conductive non-metallic materials (such as silicon carbide). This standard method, as a supplementary method to the steady-state method, is suitable for applications such as enterprise quality control, but is not suitable for appraisal or arbitration tests.
