Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, metrological requirements, technical requirements, test and inspection methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of automatic rail weighbridges (hereinafter referred to as "rail weighbridges").
This standard applies to standard gauge rail weighbridges that determine the weight of railway wagons by dynamic weighing (including axle weighing, bogie weighing, and whole-vehicle weighing). Rail weighbridges with other gauges, weighing ranges, and accuracy grades can refer to this standard for use; off-track automatic rail weighbridges, rail pad sensor automatic rail weighbridges, and rail sensor automatic rail weighbridges can also refer to this standard for use.
