Scope

This standard applies to the construction of insulation projects for industrial equipment and pipelines with an external surface temperature of -196 to +850°C in new construction, expansion, and renovation projects. This standard does not apply to the internal insulation linings of equipment and pipelines, or to equipment and pipelines with special requirements (such as nuclear radiation devices, the aviation industry, and the aerospace industry), as well as the construction of insulation projects for buried long-distance pipelines and temporary facilities.
