Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of aluminum ions in industrial circulating cooling water by atomic absorption spectrometry.
In this standard, the flame atomic absorption spectrometry is suitable for the determination of aluminum content in industrial circulating cooling water within the range of 5mg/L to 100mg/L; the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry is suitable for the determination of aluminum content in industrial circulating cooling water within the range of 10 μg/L to 100 μg/L, with a sample volume of 20 μL. Higher concentrations can be determined by appropriately diluting the sample or using a smaller sample volume.
This standard is also applicable to the determination of aluminum ions in water and wastewater.
