Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of architectural door and window hardware, the installation positions of hardware, materials, appearance and surface coating requirements, test methods, test pieces and inspection requirements, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage.
This standard applies to the hardware series used in architectural doors and windows (hinged doors and windows, top- and bottom-hung windows, sliding doors and windows, or other opening forms), including handles for transmission mechanisms, rotary handles, hinges, transmission locks, sliding supports, supporting blocks, bolts, multi-point locks, pulleys, and single-point locks. It does not apply to hardware for doors and windows with special functions such as fire prevention and burglar resistance.
