Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, testing methods, inspection and judgment rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of buoyancy swimwear. This standard applies to buoyancy swimwear for children and infants aged 14 and under, which are mainly made of textile fabrics with buoyancy materials as the lining. This standard does not apply to buoyancy swimwear that obtain buoyancy by inflation.
