Scope
This standard applies to the seismic design of new pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants in areas where the peak value of extreme safe earthquake acceleration does not exceed 0.5g. Its basic principles and seismic calculation methods are also applicable to heavy water reactors, gas-cooled reactors, and fast neutron reactors nuclear power plants.
